On May 8, 2025, the Virginia Department of Education held a webinar to announce the winner of the 2025 Computer Science Educator of the Year. Three educators were named "Champions", and one overall winner, Dr. Deborah Crawford, was named as the 2025 Computer Science Educator of the Year. Congratulations to Dr. Crawford!

Hands on Health
A series of 7 videos covering CPR, Using AEDs, Treating Bleeding, Splints and Slings, Shock, Adult and Infant Choking, and Chain of Survival. These videos were produced for use in Virtual Virginia Health course.
Hands on Physics
This series, produced in collaboration with the Physics Demonstration Classroom at Virginia Tech, is designed to provide visual representations of key concepts in Physics that may be difficult to reproduce in a virtual or face to face classroom. All 16 videos are correlated to the Virginia Standards of Learning. Awarded a Telly Award in 2023 for outstanding educational media production.

Virginia Roots: Traditional Music and Arts
Virginia Roots is an Emmy-winning production of Blue Ridge PBS and the Virginia Department of Education. The goal of the series is to help music and fine arts educators find a place for traditional music and crafts in the school curriculum, and to help everyone understand the place of mountain music in the broader culture. New season now available featuring pottery, engraving, basket making, quilting and gourd painting!
