Preschool - Grade 3 Teachers, Parents, and Caregivers

Ready To Learn

Blue Ridge PBS has long been known for its programming, outreach and training services for educators K-12. In recent years, thanks to grants for work in our Family Literacy area, we have developed specific Ready to Learn services for Preschool through grade 3 teachers, parents, and caregivers. These services help teachers and caregivers to learn about all that Ready to Learn has to offer -- training them in proven methods to use television and books interactively with children. This award is intended to recognize classroom teachers who have not previously won a major award in education.
