Overview of Ready To Earn

Ready To Earn Learning Services provide support and training for adult educators and adult learners. Use the links to the right to learn more about regional and national adult learning services.

Virginia's Adult Learning Resource Center has purchased statewide rights to broadcast, duplicate and provide online management tools for adult learners. These apply to the KET series: GED Connections, Workplace Essentials Skills, and TV 411, through October 2007. There are also discounts available to Virginia Adult Educators and Students for the print materials supporting these programs. Go to www.valrc.org to see more about this, or call the resource center toll free at 800.237.0178 .

GED Connection
GED Connection is a dynamic multimedia instructional package that prepares learners for the new GED exam and for the world beyond. It creatively combines video, workbooks and the Internet. The series uses and engaging documentary-style approach to instruction, with many real-life examples of how people use the skills and knowledge tested on the GED at work and in their homes and communities. GED Connection combines interviews with experts, learners, poets and scientists with documentary footage and informational graphics. The series is informative and exciting, even for curious, non-GED viewers.
